New Delhi: Bollywood film director Karan Johar is returning to direction with his next film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’. On Saturday 18 September, he shared a BTS photo from the sets of the film. Karan has posted a picture of the film’s crew from his Instagram account, in which some people are seen busy on the sets. The scene they were shooting was being shot inside the house. He captioned the photo, ‘Shootlife. Rocky and Rani’s love story.
Actors like Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi are working in the film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’. The film is jointly written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan and Sumit Roy. This film will be released in 2022.

Earlier, Karan had released a clip from the first-day shoot of the film, in which Alia was scorching in a sari look, while Ranveer was seen in a dashing look. Fashion designer Manish Malhotra was also seen in the short video.
Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan are part of Ranveer’s family in the film, while Shabana Azmi is a member of Alia Bhatt’s family. Karan’s last film as a director was ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, which hit the theaters in 2016. The film starred Anushka Sharma, Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Fawad Khan. He then worked for the OTT anthology series ‘Lust Stories’ (2018) and ‘Ghost Stories’ (2020). Apart from the film ‘Rocky and Rani’s love story’, Karan also has a film like ‘Takht’.
Apart from directing, Karan is also a part of several production ventures. He is the producer of Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt’s ‘Brahmastra’ along with Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif’s ‘Sooryavanshi’. He is also ready to launch young South star Vijay Deverakonda in Bollywood with the film ‘Liger’, in which Ananya Pandey is in the lead role.
