Karnataka Lockdown: More than 12 thousand buses arranged, stranded people will be able to go to their city

Cases of corona infection in Karnataka (Karnataka Corona) are increasing continuously. Given this, the government has announced a 2-week lockdown in the entire state. The lockdown will begin at 9 pm tonight. After the announcement of the two-week bandh, Karnataka Deputy CM Laxman Savadi said that more than 12,000 special buses have been arranged so that people stranded in different parts of the state can return to their cities.

Savadi said, ‘More than 12 thousand buses have been arranged for the public so that a large number of people can go to their homes’. Deputy CM told that these buses will be operated from Bangalore to other parts of Karnataka. Laxman Savadi said, ‘The public will have to use these buses to go to their places, which will be deployed for their benefit’.

Public transport completely closed

He said, ‘Passengers who are required to leave for their cities by 9 o’clock tonight, they can use these buses’. Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa on Monday announced a two-week lockdown in the state in view of the increasing number of corona infection cases.

Schools, colleges, education institutes, all cinema halls, malls, gyms, sports complexes, theaters, hotels, restaurants and bars will remain closed for the next 14 days during the lockdown. Public transport will also be completely closed during lockdown, including RTC buses and Bengaluru Metro service. During this time only construction, manufacturing and agricultural sectors will be allowed to continue.

Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa said in a press conference after the cabinet meeting, “We have reached this conclusion of the lockdown after talking to all the ministers and experts.” The Chief Minister said that stores selling essential goods will be open only to people from 6 am to 10 am.
