Jaipur. Rajasthan Transport Department will not issue licenses and RC smart cards from April 1, 2024. Now both these important documents will be given in online format on mobile. Not only this, the fee of Rs 200 for License-RC will no longer be charged. Orders have been issued by the state government. Now the common people will benefit from this that they will not have to submit old DL and RC. Renewal will be done sitting at home.
The first meeting was held in Jaipur RTO regarding awareness about e-DL and e-RC. Apart from the officials of Transport Department, representatives of Police Commissionerate, Traffic Police, Vehicle Dealers Association and e-Mitra Operator were present in the meeting. The department gave information about the benefits of issuing e-driving license and e-RC. Information regarding reading e-License and e-RC was given to the traffic police during enforcement activities. Jaipur RTO I Rajesh Chauhan and RTO II Dharmendra Chaudhary also addressed the meeting.
Jaipur Pratham, RTO, Rajesh Chauhan said, ‘The government is emphasizing on e-DL and e-RC to provide facilities like license sitting at home to the common people. Now people will not have to make rounds of DL office. People will be able to apply through mobile, e-Mitra or office. This will save both time and money and will also provide easy access to facilities.
Dhamendra Chaudhary, RTO, Jaipur II said, ‘7 faceless facilities are being provided by the transport department. These services are being provided to the people sitting at home. This includes installation of duplicate DL, RC, address change, vehicle transfer, RC renewal, or high security registration plate.
