During this period, vehicles are strictly checked in all the states. Because huge amounts of cash and liquor are supplied during elections.
There is a lot of strictness regarding cash and liquor, in such a situation, if you have more than Rs 50 thousand in cash and there is no receipt for it, then the police can confiscate it.
The rules regarding liquor are the same as implemented by the state government, like in any state you can carry up to two to three bottles with you. Whereas in some states a sealed bottle is allowed.
In Uttar Pradesh, you can bring with you only one sealed bottle of liquor from another state, if you bring more than this, you can be charged a fine of up to Rs 5,000.
