Love Jihad Bill in MP: Now a bill passed in Madhya Pradesh to curb love jihad, learn big things about new law

In Madhya Pradesh, on Monday, the government passed the Freedom of Religion Bill 2021 (Anti Love Jihad Bill) in the Legislative Assembly to prevent Love Jihad in Madhya Pradesh. The government has also provided strict punishment against the accused in this bill. The government has talked about 10 years of harsh punishment for the accused found in cases of deception or other wrong ways of conversion (Love Jihad News) in the bill. Governor Anandi Ben Patel gave his approval to the ordinance on January 9 in relation to this bill.




It may be noted that this bill was introduced in the House on March 1 by the Home Minister Narottam Mishra. On Monday, this bill, which was passed against Love Jihad, was discussed and after this it was passed by voice in the House. It has been said in the passed bill that if someone converts someone by intimidating, greed, cheating, or by making false promises, then punitive action will be taken against them.

According to this bill, both the marriage and the marriage will be found guilty. Along with this, it has been mentioned that if any such marriage takes place in the state then it will be considered as zero in the eyes of the government. There was a heated debate between the government and the Congress before the bill was passed in the House. The BJP accused the Congress that it would have supported this bill if the Congress had thought about the well-being and respect of women.




Law has been passed in these states

Let us tell you that before Madhya Pradesh, the governments of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand have also passed laws against Love Jihad. If sources are to be believed, the Haryana government may also bring a law against love jihad in the coming days. If found guilty of the Religious Freedom Act in Madhya Pradesh, imprisonment of up to 10 years and a fine of up to 50 thousand rupees can be imposed.

60 days will have to be given information

It has also been shown in this bill that if someone changes their religion voluntarily, then it will be mandatory to inform the District Magistrate of the district 60 days in advance of the person making further religious conversion. Even if the District Magistrate is not informed, he will be found guilty of violation of this law.
