LPG Price Hike: Oil marketing companies have made it expensive by changing the price of commercial gas cylinders. Giving a shock to inflation on the budget day, its price has been increased by Rs 14, after which the price of a commercial cylinder has increased to Rs 1769.50 in Delhi.
Today Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the interim budget in Parliament. Even before this, there has been a shock of inflation in the country, in fact, 19 kg commercial gas cylinder (LPG Cylinder Price Hike) has become expensive due to oil marketing companies. According to the IOCL website, its prices have been increased by Rs 14, after which the price of a commercial cylinder in the capital Delhi has increased to Rs 1769.50. The new rates have come into effect today from 1 February 2024.
19 kg cylinder becomes costlier
After the latest change, the price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinder in Delhi (Delhi LPG Cylinder Price) has increased from Rs 1755.50 to Rs 1769.50. Talking about other metros, the price of one cylinder in Kolkata (Kolkata LPG Cylinder Price) has been increased from Rs 1869.00 to Rs 1887. The commercial cylinder which was earlier available for Rs 1708 in Mumbai, will now be available for Rs 1723. Whereas in Chennai its price has increased from Rs 1924.50 to Rs 1937.
Minor relief was received last month
Last January 1, 2024, a slight relief was given in the price of 19 kg cylinder. Oil marketing companies had reduced the prices of 19 kg commercial gas cylinders. After which the first commercial gas cylinder from Delhi to Mumbai became cheaper by Rs 1.50 to Rs 4.50. After the reduction made last month, the price of 19 kg cylinder was reduced to Rs 1755.50 in Delhi and Rs 1708 in Mumbai.
No change in domestic cylinder prices
While the prices of commercial gas cylinders have been increased, the prices of domestic gas cylinders have remained stable. The price of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder is available at Rs 903 in Delhi, Rs 929 in Kolkata, Rs 902.50 in Mumbai and Rs 918.50 in Chennai. Domestic gas cylinder prices (Domestic LPG Price) have remained stable for a long time.
Interim budget will be presented at 11 am
It is noteworthy that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the sixth budget of her tenure in Parliament today at 11 am. This will be the last budget of the second term of the Modi government, which is interim. Actually, Lok Sabha elections are going to be held this year and the full budget will be given by the new government to be formed after the elections.
