Delhi Metro: Delhi Metro has given a big relief in security check for pregnant women, senior citizens and disabled people. All these passengers will get priority in security check.

Delhi Metro New Rules: Delhi Metro has given a big relief to Divyangjan, pregnant women and senior citizens. Actually, Delhi Metro has started giving priority in security checks to passengers like Divyangjan, senior citizens, pregnant women etc. The aim of this initiative is to provide a comfortable and convenient travel experience to these passengers so that they can go through the security check process comfortably. DMRC is working closely with CISF and security personnel to implement initiatives like priority in search and to provide convenience to special types of passengers and issue necessary guidelines.

Newborns, pregnant women will get priority in security checks

DMRC wrote on social media platform X, “Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) in collaboration with Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has started giving priority in security check (frisking) to certain categories of passengers at all metro stations. Passengers included in this category such as Divyangjan, pregnant women, women with newborns, senior citizens and injured persons will be greatly facilitated by getting priority in security check while entering the metro station.”

In case of doubt or dispute, documents will have to be shown to CISF

DMRC further wrote in its post- “In case of any doubt or dispute regarding eligibility for this facility, security personnel may request the passengers to show relevant documents to verify their status. DMRC has always given priority to providing every kind of convenience from the beginning of the journey to the destination in the metro system, including reserved seats for Divyangjan and senior citizens.”

DMRC already provides these facilities to the passengers

According to DMRC, “All DMRC premises are passenger-friendly with facilities such as tactile paths, wheelchairs and other support systems to provide a seamless travel experience. With this move, DMRC has further strengthened its commitment towards social responsibility, setting an example for public transport systems across the country.”
