NCR will get new speed, metro will go from Faridabad to Noida and Jewar Airport

The Faridabad Metropolitan Develop Faridabad Metropolitan ment Authority’s (FMDA) comprehensive mobility plan will be extended if the metro goes from Faridabad to Noida and Jewar Airport in Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, Gurugram will also be connected to the metro. The related plan was discussed in the FMDA meeting held at Sector-12 Small Secretariat on Friday. It was chaired by FMDA Chief Executive Officer VS Kundu. In this, officials of Smart City Faridabad Limited and other government departments were present.




This plan, designed keeping in mind the year 2041, will now be sent to the government for approval, which also includes several developmental works including strengthening public transporters, strengthening infrastructure in the form of roads and flyovers.

 

28 thousand crores will change the face of the city: The comprehensive mobility plan prepared by the UMTC company focused on strengthening the connectivity of the city in every respect. Around Rs 28,400 crore will be spent on metro, city bus, road, flyover, bus terminal, construction of separate freight corridors for heavy vehicles etc. They prepare around 145 km long metro network to Noida, jewelry Airport, Gurugram budget will be spent a large part of.

 

Will Generate Revenue From CLU: The State Government will initially provide assistance to FMDA, while Authority from CLU will raise its revenue. FMDA will have the rights to CLU. If FMDA will set up new drinking water project and sewer treatment plant etc. then Municipal Corporation, Haryana Urban Development Authority will be the customers of FMDA.

 

58 flyovers will be built in the district

 

To strengthen road connectivity, 58 flyovers will be built at various places in the district under the Comprehensive Mobility Scheme so that people can get rid of the problem of traffic jams and also reduce pollution of the city. These will be built on the main roads of the city including flyover bypass, where vehicles are more crowded. Apart from this, roads will be widened to 60 meters.




Two thousand buses will run

 

In the Comprehensive Mobility Plan, FMDA has given special attention to public transport. By the year 2041, about 2220 city buses will be run in the district. These will be launched on the roads in different stages. 431 km of routes will be set for their operation.

 

A separate corridor will be built for the freight corridor

 

A separate corridor will be prepared for railway freight corridors for heavy vehicles from the junction at Farwal to Faridabad, so that heavy vehicular movement can take place in the industrial areas of Palwal including Faridabad. In view of the industries of Faridabad and Gurugram, provision has been made in the Comprehensive Mobility Plan.
