New Direct Flight Service: The journey from Bihar to Bengaluru has now become even easier. This facility is particularly beneficial for passengers traveling between Bihar and Bengaluru who prefer air travel. Starting today, a new flight service has commenced operations between Darbhanga and Bengaluru. Sanjay Kumar Jha—JDU’s National Working President and a Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha)—shared this information via a Facebook post.
In his post, he noted that Akasa Air’s inaugural flight service between Darbhanga and Bengaluru took off today. He extended his hearty congratulations to the people of the region as well as to the Ministry of Civil Aviation for this achievement. He further stated that this initiative would not only boost connectivity within the Mithila region but also foster trade, employment, and new opportunities.
It is worth noting that the flight from Bengaluru to Darbhanga took off at 9:40 AM. The aircraft landed at Darbhanga Airport at 12:15 PM. In other words, it took the flight 2 hours and 35 minutes to travel from Bengaluru to Darbhanga. The aircraft was welcomed in a truly special manner; upon its arrival at Darbhanga Airport, it was greeted on the runway with a ceremonial water cannon salute. Furthermore, to spread joy, passengers seated inside the aircraft were presented with roses and chocolates.
New Avenues for Development and Employment to Open Up
On this occasion, MP and Chairman of the Darbhanga Airport Advisory Committee, Dr. Gopalji Thakur, handed out boarding passes to passengers at the airport. He bid the passengers farewell as they embarked on their air journey to Bengaluru. He stated that the 57 percent increase in the number of passengers flying from Darbhanga Airport within a single year serves as a nationwide example. He described this newly launched air service between Darbhanga and Bengaluru as a major achievement for the Mithila region. It is believed that this new flight will not only connect Darbhanga to the rest of the country and the world but will also pave the way for the development of the Mithila region in terms of growth, employment, and tourism.
