New RTO Rules For Minor Driving: These days a case in Pune is becoming a topic of discussion in the entire country. According to the new rules, now if a minor i.e. any boy or girl below 18 years of age is caught driving a car. Then a challan of up to Rs 25,000 can be levied on the minor’s father or his guardian.

What is Pune accident case?
Late night of 19 May 2024, a minor was driving a Porsche car under the influence of alcohol in Kalyani Nagar area of Pune. The minor hit two IT engineers riding a bike on the road with his car. The accident was so terrible that both the IT engineers died in it.
Pune Police has registered an FIR against the minor under Section 304 of the IPC and other sections of the Motor Vehicle Act. Along with this, the police has registered a report against the minor’s father under sections 75 and 77 of the Juvenile Justice Act.
