According to the new Motor Vehicle Act, if you are unable to show RC, Insurance Certificate, Pollution, Driving License (DL) and Permit Certificate immediately, on the demand of the Traffic Police, then it is not a crime. But if the challan is deducted by the police for not showing the documents immediately, then you can get this challan canceled in the court. You will not have to pay the fine.

As per section 139 of the new Motor Vehicle Act, the driver is given 15 days to present the documents. The traffic police cannot deduct the challan of the driver immediately. If the traffic police wrongly deducts your challan, it does not mean that you will have to fill the challan. The challan of the traffic police is not a court order. This can be challenged in court.

According to the new Motor Vehicle Act, a child older than four years will be counted for the third ride. In such a situation, if you are sitting on your toweler sitting on your child and wife and the child is more than four years old, then your challan can be cut. According to Section 194A of the Motor Vehicles Act, you can deduct a challan of 1000 rupees for violating this rule.

With this, you can cut your challan even if only 2 people, including the child, are said to be riding on their motorcycle or scooter. According to the new Motor Vehicle Act, if the child is more than four years old and the child is not wearing a helmet, then your challan of 1000 rupees can be deducted. In such a situation, you are advised to follow the traffic rules and be safe.

Digi Locker & M Transport

Driving license and other documents like registration certificate can be stored through Digi Locker or M Transport. No documents will have to be physically kept with them. If the traffic police asks for a driving license or other documents, the driver can show a soft copy.
