New Vande Bharat: The people of the district will not have to wait much longer to travel by the country’s first semi high speed train Vande Bharat. Soon the operation of Vande Bharat Express will start from Jamalpur Junction to Howrah. Munger MP cum Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan alias Lallan Singh had requested Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav a week ago to extend the Howrah-Bhagalpur Vande Bharat to Jamalpur.
The Railway Ministry has approved the initiative of the Union Minister. Along with this, the timetable has also been released. It is expected that very soon Vande Bharat will run from Jamalpur to Howrah. With the running of this train, there will be five trains from Jamalpur to Howrah. Currently four express trains are running for Howrah.
In fact, the MP cum Union Minister had met the Railway Minister and talked about extending the Bhagalpur-Howrah Vande Bharat to Jamalpur. He had said that its running will provide convenience to the people of Munger division. The business of the traders here will also increase. After this the Railway Minister gave instructions to the concerned officer.

Keeping in mind the aspirations of the people of the area, he had requested the Railway Minister to extend it to Jamalpur. Now the Railways has also released the timetable regarding the extension. Vande Bharat Express will soon run from Jamalpur. With its running, people of Jamalpur-Munger and surrounding areas will also get its benefit.
The Union Minister said that by extending it to Jamalpur Junction, the district has got another train for West Bengal. Traders will also get a lot of convenience in business. The MP said that he does what he says. The MP expressed gratitude to the Railway Minister for this.

Train number 22309 up will leave from Howrah at 7.45 am. It will reach Bolpur Shanti Niketan at 9.13 am, Rampurhat station at 10 am, Dumka at 11.05, Naunihat at 11.32, Hansdiha at 11.50, Mandarhill at 12.12, Barahat at 12.30, Bhagalpur at 1.15 pm and Jamalpur at 2.15 pm.
Similarly, Vande Bharat Express train number 22310 down will leave from Jamalpur at 3.30 pm. It will reach Bhagalpur at 4.22, Barahat 5.02, Mandarhill 5.16, Hansdiha 5.38, Naunihat 5.53, Dumka 6.25, Rampur Hat 7.18, Bolpur Shanti Niketan 7.56 and Howrah at 10.05.
