NMC New Guidelines: NMC will verify the admission of students in MBBS course. If during this period it is discovered that the candidate was given admission without going through the Central and State counseling process, the admission will be cancelled. Verification is being done by NMC so that corruption or illegal admission in MBBS can be prevented.
To make medical admissions transparent, NMC, through a letter in July 2023, had asked the authorities to make necessary arrangements to conduct counseling (both UG and PG) in online mode for all rounds from academic to private medical colleges. .
In this regard, on the condition of anonymity, an official of the Health Ministry said, “Students who engage in deceptive activities during the admission process contribute to the corrupt system. “The seats acquired through forgery and fraud will be canceled after verification by NMC,” it said.
The officer further said that such acts are done by private medical colleges. In such a situation, admissions taken offline will be cancelled. After cancellation of admission, seats will remain vacant. At the same time, students who have followed the proper channels need not worry about the consequences of this action on fake admissions.
