Big news has emerged regarding Uttar Pradesh’s much-anticipated Noida International Airport. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has sent a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, proposing its inauguration on March 28th. This suggests that those who have been waiting for the Jewar Airport for a long time may soon receive a significant gift.
The wait for millions of people in Uttar Pradesh is about to end. Formal preparations have begun for the inauguration of Noida International Airport, the country’s largest airport being built in Jewar. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced that March 28, 2026, has been proposed for the airport’s inauguration and has also sent an invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This news is set to be the biggest Navratri gift not only for western Uttar Pradesh, but for the entire NCR.
It should be noted that just a few days ago, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued this airport an aerodrome license. This license is essential for the operation of any airport. This means that the airport’s security, infrastructure, and technical facilities have met the established standards, and the path to flight operations is now almost clear.
Will be included among the country’s largest airports
This airport being built in Jewar is going to be included among the country’s largest airports. It is being developed in several phases. In the first phase itself, it will be able to serve millions of passengers. In the future, with its expansion, both its capacity and facilities will be increased.
NCR and Western UP will benefit
The opening of this airport will bring significant relief to residents of Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, and surrounding districts, including Aligarh. Passengers will no longer have to travel long distances to Delhi Airport. It is also expected to boost employment, investment, and tourism in the region.
When will flights begin?
Although the proposed inauguration date is March 28th, the exact date for flight operations will be determined only after the inauguration. It is believed that regular flights may begin shortly after the inauguration.
