Om Shanti Om Blooper Reel: It has been 15 years since Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer Om Shanti Om was released. On this special occasion, the film’s director Farah Khan shared a video of the film’s backstage scenes. In this video, many scenes of the film, dance sequences and funny moments between fight scenes are captured.
15 years after the release of the film, this reincarnation drama of Farah Khan is ruling the hearts of fans due to its dialogues, fun-filled scenes and parody creations of Bollywood. He captioned his post, “The magic, the madness, the music that is my love letter to Bollywood….”
In the blooper reel, Shah Rukh at times performs his dialogues and dance moves, while Deepika weeps bitterly. In the scene where he allegedly fights a stuffed tiger, Shah Rukh bursts out laughing. While shooting for the track “Deewangi” featuring popular Bollywood celebrities, Saif Ali Khan pretends to stare at the camera, and Karisma Kapoor almost collapses while dancing.
In one scene, Salman Khan and Dharmendra also share an emotional hug. In the second half of the reel, Arjun Rampal accidentally hits Shahrukh with the mic, Kirron Kher gets into a flurry of abuses, and Shahrukh falls while plucking a coconut. Incidentally, Om Shanti Om was Deepika Padukone’s debut film.
In Mushtaq Sheikh’s book The Making of Om Shanti Om, Farah Khan says, “I am the only director who makes manly films for Shah Rukh Khan. Everyone is doing them girly films. I hate it when he does this crying, soulful stuff.” Shah Rukh Khan is all set to make a comeback after a gap of five years in 2023 with three films Pathan, Jawan and Dunki.
