On Monday, OnePlus announced the launch date for its new smartphones—the OnePlus Nord CE 6 and Nord CE 6 Lite—in India. Both of these phones will join the company’s mid-range series, which also includes the recently launched OnePlus Nord 6. Ahead of the launch, the company has also revealed some key features of the Nord CE 6. It has been confirmed to feature a 1.5K 144Hz display. This handset will be powered by a Snapdragon 7-series chipset.
OnePlus Nord CE 6 Series India Launch Date
The OnePlus Nord CE 6 and Nord CE 6 Lite are set to launch in India on May 7 at 12:00 PM. The company shared this information in a press note. The Nord CE 6 will be available in three color options: Fresh Blue, Lunar Pearl, and Pitch Black. Meanwhile, the Nord CE 6 Lite will be available in Vivid Mint and Hyper Black colors.
According to the company, the Nord CE 6 Lite model is making a comeback after nearly two years. This phone serves as the successor to the Nord CE4 Lite, which was launched in June 2024.
OnePlus Nord CE6: Specifications and Features
The OnePlus Nord CE6 has been confirmed to feature the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. It also includes a dedicated Touch Reflex chip, creating a dual-chip architecture. The company claims that this will enhance the phone’s speed and ensure smoother performance.
The handset is said to support gaming at up to 144fps in select titles and boasts a touch sampling rate of 3200Hz. It is equipped with a 6-axis gaming gyroscope and a large vapor chamber cooling system, featuring a heat dissipation area exceeding 33,000 square millimeters. As for the display, the handset features a 6.78-inch screen with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.
OnePlus has equipped the Nord CE6 with an 8,000mAh battery that supports 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging. The company claims that the handset can deliver over 2.5 days of battery life on a single charge. Additionally, it features All-Scenario Bypass Charging and 27W wired reverse charging. The company states that the battery retains up to 80% of its original capacity even after several years of use.
In terms of durability, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 holds IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K ratings, along with MIL-STD-810H certification. Further details regarding the pricing, availability, and launch offers for the OnePlus Nord CE 6 series are expected to be revealed during the launch event on May 7.
