People are remembering former PM Atal’s death anniversary, President-PM paid tribute

New Delhi. The country is remembering its former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary today.

In this sequence, President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, always reached the Atal Samadhi Sthal and paid tribute to Vajpayee. Rashtrapati Bhavan said in a tweet- ‘President Ram Nath Kovind paid tributes to former Prime Minister of India, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his third death anniversary, at his Samadhi, ‘Sadaiva Atal’ in New Delhi. Along with this, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu wrote – India is not just a piece of land but a living reality – Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The Vice President wrote that – ‘I pay my humble tribute to the memory of former Prime Minister of the country and our beloved leader Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji on his death anniversary. Atal ji was a visionary politician of our generation, a brilliant orator, a learned litterateur, a nationalist, a sensitive poet and an intense parliamentarian. Atal ji devoted his whole life to selfless service of the nation, you set authentic standards of good governance. On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, ‘Today we remember his personality, his lovely nature, intelligence. On this day, we are remembering his contribution to the national progress. The PM wrote, ‘Atal ji lives in the hearts and minds of our countrymen. Today, on his death anniversary, always went to Atal and paid tribute to him.

Paying tribute to Vajpayee, Home Minister Amit Shah wrote- ‘Bharat Ratna revered Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji’s life moment-to-moment was dedicated to taking India to the pinnacle of ultimate glory. On the other hand, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh wrote that on the occasion of the death anniversary of former Prime Minister of India, revered Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji, I respectfully remember and bow to him. Let us tell you that on 16 August 2018, Atal Bihari Vajpayee breathed his last at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences located in the national capital Delhi.
