PM KISAN EKYC Scheme: An installment of Rs 2,000 is being given to the farmers by the Central Government at an interval of every four months. In this way, Rs 6000 is given to the farmers in a year, but for this it becomes necessary for you to update your e-KYC.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana i.e. PM-KISAN, farmers are given Rs 6000 annually. However, for this the e-KYC of the farmers has to be updated. This is a kind of verification, which can be done sitting at home through online mode. If KYC is not updated, your next installment of Rs 2000 may be put on hold. In such a situation, KYC should be updated in time.

According to PM Kisan website, e-KYC is mandatory for farmers registered for PM Kisan Scheme. This OTP based e-KYC is available on PM Kisan Portal. Also, biometric based KYC can be done at the nearest CSC centre. However, we will give you information on how to do e-KYC sitting at home.

What is PM Kisan Yojana?

This is a farmer welfare scheme, under which farmers who have less than 2 hectares of land are given Rs 6000 on an annual basis to provide them financial strength. It is given in three installments of Rs 2000 at an interval of 4 months.

How to do e-KYC

  • First of all you have to go to the official website of PM Kisan.
  • After this, you will see an update of e-KYC on the right side of the page, click on it.
  • Then you have to enter Aadhar card number, captcha code. After this you have to click on the search option.
  • After this you will have to enter the mobile number which is linked to your Aadhar card. If your mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar, then you will have to update it by visiting the official website of Aadhaar.
  • Then you have to click on Get OTP option. Then you have to enter OTP.
  • In this way your eKYC will be completed.

Note – If your mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar, then you will have to go to the nearest CSC center, from where KYC can be updated through offline mode.
