Now India Post has simplified the rules for this and has decided to give relief to sick people including senior citizens from visiting the center. The account holder will have to fill Form-12 for this and write a letter to the postmaster. For this, it is necessary to attest the signature of the authorized person on behalf of the account holder. If it is a joint account, then either of the two can attest the signature of the authorized person. For withdrawal, the account holder will have to fill the Withdrawal Form SB-7, for Closure Form SB-7A, for Pre-mature Closure, Form SB-7B and for Loan, Form SB-7C. Signature of the account holder is required on this form. Along with this, the ID of the account holder and the authorized person and the self-attested copy of the address proof will also have to be attached.
