India Post has started the facility of downloading Interest Certificate. If you also have a savings account in the post office or you have made an FD there, then you will need its interest certificate. Now you can download this certificate through Internet Banking of the post office. Let us tell you that you may need this certificate while filing ITR.

How to download Interest Certificate?

Till now, depositors had to go to the post office to get this certificate, which wasted a lot of time. Now there will be no need to do this. Now you can download the interest certificate sitting at home. Let us know its complete process.

  • First of all you have to go to the website ebanking.indiapost.gov.in.
  • There you have to log in by entering your user ID and password. If you are not already registered there, then you will have to sign up.
  • After logging in, go to the Accounts tab.
  • After this, click on Interest Certificate.
  • After that select the financial year for which you want to download the interest certificate.
  • After this you can download the interest certificate.

Who can download?

This service is available to all DOP Internet Banking, who have an active post office account. Whether it is your savings account, RD account or FD account, you can download its interest certificate.
