After completing 6 years in the NIA, he had decided to return to the Delhi Police and in the last days of his tenure, the NIA handed him an investigation into the Mumbai’s much-talked about Antilia case. In this case, Mumbai Police Inspector Sachin Waje was arrested under the direction of Anil Shukla and Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh also had to resign during the investigation of the case. After the completion of the term, Anil Shukla reported back to the Union Home Ministry, from where orders have been issued to him to go to Andaman Nicobar under a new posting.

According to orders issued by the Home Department of the Delhi Government, 2003 batch IPS officer Nabam Gungte has been posted as Joint Commissioner in the Armed Branch of Delhi Police. Similarly, on being promoted to the 2017 batch IPS Sachin Singhal has been posted as Deputy Commissioner of Security. The 2009 batch Danips officer Kishan Meena, who was transferred from outside, has been brought to the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Control Room while Pawan Kumar of 2009 batch has been removed from the post of Additional Deputy Commissioner Security, Prime Minister Security and posted to Additional Deputy Commissioner Southern District.
