Railways has given this information by issuing an order on August 8. This new scheme has been named ‘Round Trip Package’. According to this, if a passenger books a round trip ticket together, he will get a discount of 20 percent. This step has been taken to prevent heavy rush in trains and rush for tickets during the festive season.
According to the railways, if a passenger books a round trip ticket, he will get a 20 percent discount on the return ticket. For this, the name of the passenger should be the same on both the tickets. Both the tickets should be of the same class. This will start from October 13. Passengers can avail this facility till December 1.
This facility will be available only on confirmed tickets on both sides. Apart from this, no changes can be made in the ticket. There will be no refund facility in this. Nor will any offer be valid on such tickets. Let us tell you that this facility will be available in all trains and all classes of the country. Both the tickets have to be booked through the same medium at the same time. Passengers can avail this discount both online and offline.
