Weather Update Latest News: Rain is expected in some parts of the country till November 2. Air pollution is increasing in Delhi and Maharashtra. Read in detail.

Light to moderate rain with lightning is likely at some places over Kerala and Mahe, Lakshadweep, coastal and south interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during October 31 to November 2. The weather is normal in the rest of India.

As Diwali approaches, the condition of air pollution in Delhi has started becoming serious. The air of Delhi is gradually becoming poisonous. The air quality of the national capital remained in the very poor category, putting people’s health at risk.

According to the data of the Central Pollution Control Board, the Air Quality Index, i.e. AQI, remains around 300. On the other hand, the air quality is poor in many cities of Maharashtra too (Weather Update Latest News).

Due to change in weather conditions, high vehicle emissions and burning of firecrackers, the air quality has deteriorated in many cities of Maharashtra including Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Nashik. AQI of Uran was recorded at 322 and Mumbai at 122.

Let us tell you that AQI is divided into many categories according to the level and reading. AQI between 0-50 means good i.e. air is pure. Between 51-100 means air purity is satisfactory, between 101-200 it is moderate, between 201-300 it is bad, between 301-400 it is very bad and between 401 to 500 it is severe category.
