To build your dream home, you first have to spend lakhs of rupees to buy land and then spend a huge amount on it to get the construction done as per your wish. In this, there are all kinds of expenses ranging from brick and cement, while the price of rebar also plays a big role in the house construction cost, even a slight increase in which increases your expenses. But in the last week of the last month of the year 2023, the prices of rebar have fallen further. A decline in its prices has been recorded from Delhi to Kanpur and from Chennai to Goa.

The decline in prices has continued since the beginning of November

TMT Steel Bar Price Changes (Without 18% GST)

It is noteworthy that in the last year 2022, its prices were on fire and they had reached the sky. At present, the rate at which rebar is available is almost half that of last year. In the month of April 2022, its price in the domestic market had reached around Rs 78,800 per tonne. If we calculate the price by applying 18 percent GST on it, it comes to around Rs 93,000 per tonne.

The burden on your pocket should not increase in the new year.

If you are still expecting further decline in the prices of rebar for building a house, then let us tell you that this plan can also prove to increase your expenses. In fact, daily changes are seen in the prices of rebar across the country. In such a situation, it is possible that the rate at which it is available today may suddenly increase tomorrow. If this happens, then your plan to get your house ready can also move forward.

You can check the latest price of iron bars in your city on Ironmart (ayronmart.com) website. It is important to note here that the prices of rebar are quoted on per tonne basis and GST at the rate of 18 per cent fixed by the government is applicable separately on these.
