Suryoday Small Finance Bank (SSFB) has introduced a “Health and Wellness Savings Account”. Firstly, the interest rate on this savings account is quite high. In this account you will be offered 6.25 percent interest rate. You will also get free insurance, healthcare benefits and unlimited free ATM transactions. Who can open this account
Only a resident Indian can open a Health and Wellness Savings Account in SFFB. However, the account can be opened either singly or jointly. Your age should be from 18 to 65 years. Those below 18 years and above 65 years of age will not get the facility of this account. You must submit the major health declaration form. Also, an average monthly balance of Rs 3 lakh has to be maintained in the savings account.
Know interest rates
You will be fined for not maintaining the monthly balance. 500 per month for 90% of the amount and Rs 1500 per month for less than that will be charged. 4.00 per cent interest will be given on up to Rs 1 lakh, 6.25 per cent on above Rs 1 lakh and up to Rs 10 lakh and 6.00 per cent on amount above Rs 10 lakh.

You will get a complimentary top-up health insurance of Rs 25 lakh for the first year, out of which Rs 5 lakh can be deducted for yourself and family (2 adults i.e. self and spouse + 2 children). Standard annual healthcare package for the first year for a family of 4, unlimited doctor consultations over phone/video, specialist consultations at network hospitals (twice a year) and free medical check-ups (twice a year) Will get
Will get interest every month
You will be given interest amount every month on this savings account. You will be given Personal Accident Death Insurance or Permanent Total Disability cover of Rs 2 lakh. Free Unlimited RTGS/NEFT/IMPS transactions through all channels, Doorstep Banking facility (subject to availability at the branch), Free Monthly E-mail Statement and Half-yearly Physical Free Statement will be provided.
Emergency ambulance call
You will also get emergency ambulance medical care services up to a distance of 20 kms till March 31, 2022 in the health benefit of the savings account. For the first year, once you open an account, you will get free health insurance and annual health services. From the second year onwards, you can renew these services from the service provider at the current rate. The free ambulance service is available till March 31, 2022 and the bank can extend the same at its sole discretion. With the Bank’s Health and Wellness Savings Account the objective is to safeguard both your health and money. This account is a good option for both job and business people.
