SBI is alerting customers! Screen Sharing Fraud: thugs have found a new way to trap,

There is a saying that if the common person walks and walks, then the thugger walks. Some of the same saying also fits on online thugs. When people became cautious about giving OTP and other information over the phone, the thugs have found another way. These days, screen sharing fraud has emerged as a new method of online fraud. The country’s largest bank SBI (State Bank of India) has started warning people about this.

State Bank of India (SBI), in a message sent to its customers, has said that some new way of fraud (Fraud) has gone on these days. This method is Screen Sharing Fraud. Most of the victims of this are becoming customers who take advantage of the mobile banking service through mobile phones. Come, today let’s tell what happens to screen sharing fraud ..

What is screen sharing fraud

SBI says that screen sharing fraud is now an online fraud or a new way of cheating. Through this, thugs steal your personal and online banking information. Once your confidential information has reached the thugs, then understand that it will not take long to empty your account.

What is the way of cheating

If you do mobile banking and targets you a thug, then he would first like to install an app on your mobile phone so that he can see the screen of your mobile from anywhere. For this, a link to screen sharing app can be sent to your WhatsApp or any other chatting app so that it can be clicked on and install. All your information is in front of the thugs as soon as the suspicious app is installed.

Store every information leaked in mobile

As soon as you install the screen sharing app, information stored in your mobile phone will be accessible to the thugs. Then, when you make a transaction in your bank account or credit card account, its login ID and password will be detected. Not only this, he can also call you that I am calling on behalf of the bank. During this time, he will give you such confidential information that you will trust him. Since he has your confidential information, it is possible to trust you. After this, he will make you do some such things that you may feel heavy.

What does the bank say

SBI has said in the information sent to its customers that never install such an app (Don’t install). The bank employee or his representative never calls to ask any details or information from his customers. Nor does the bank ask for information on any other application or other website. Yes, if you do net or mobile banking, it only asks to login and enter the password on the bank’s authorized mobile banking website or app. So, always be careful while doing online transaction.
