School Closed: Due to the heatwave and heat stroke in various parts of Jharkhand, orders have been given to keep all schools up to class 12th closed till Wednesday. State’s School Education and Literacy Secretary K Ravi Kumar, in a directive issued this evening, has ordered closure of all aided and unaided schools from June 12 to June 14.

Meanwhile, the State Meteorological Department has told that similar weather is likely to prevail in the entire state for at least the next five days. Ranchi-based Meteorological Department chief Abhishek Anand told that at present there is no sign of respite from the heat till at least June 15 in the state. He told that there is a possibility of light rain especially in the eastern part of the state, but it will not provide any special relief in the heat.

School closed in MP and UP

Apart from Jharkhand, schools will also remain closed in MP and UP. Due to the scorching heat, summer vacations have been extended here to give relief to the children. In UP, where the holiday has been declared from June 15 to June 24. And in Bhopal and Indore of MP, the school holiday has been announced from June 15 to June 19.
