Schools are opening in UP from February 10, know guidelines

UP Schools News: Government of Uttar Pradesh has released the guidelines related to opening schools for students of classes 1 to 5 and 6 to 8.

School Reopening News: Government of Uttar Pradesh (UP Government) has issued guidelines to reopen schools between COVID-19 for classes 6-8 on February 10 and for students of classes 1-5 from March 1. According to the Basic Education Department, Uttar Pradesh, for now, classes will be held only twice a week and only 50 percent of the students will be allowed to attend.

The time table from class one to class eight has also been released by Basic Education Director Sarvendra Vikram Bahadur Singh. School officials have been asked to take COVID-19 prevention measures while conducting classes.

Mid-day meal will also be made available to students, ensuring precautionary measures in schools. It was said in the guidelines that all schools should ensure that students are allowed to sit in classrooms only after receiving written consent from parents. Full information about the health status of students, parents and their national and international travel, if any, will also have to be given.

If the student wants to study from home, then he will be given the option to study online. Let us tell you that after the Central Government issued guidelines to open upper primary schools, CM Yogi had already given instructions to assess the conditions and open schools. At the same time, schools were reopened in October 2020 for higher classes. For the rest of the classes, the government had recommended conducting online classes.

According to the Union Health Ministry, there are 4,438 active cases of corona in Uttar Pradesh, 5 lakh 88 thousand 148 people have been cured in the state so far and 8,686 deaths due to this epidemic.
