In such a situation, keeping the safety of children in mind, winter vacation has been announced in many states. In some places schools have been closed for a few days only due to cold. UP schools
The order to close schools has come in UP. There will be a winter break of about 15 days here. Under this, schools will remain closed between 31 December 2023 and 14 January 2024. This order is for government schools and holidays have started in most of the private schools here. Due to cold, schools have not been closed here yet, winter break has been announced directly. Schools have been closed in Hathras, UP from 26 December to 31 December. At the district level, DM can take decisions as per his choice.
When will there be holidays in Delhi schools?
Children of Delhi are getting less days of winter break this time. Schools here will remain closed only from January 1 to January 6, 2024. However, since 7th is Sunday, they will get one extra day. Schools will open from January 8. Schools here have not closed yet due to cold.
Schools closed in Punjab

In view of the increasing cold in Haryana, schools will be closed between 1 and 15 January 2024. The government has announced winter holiday and schools will not open for 15 days. The cold has increased a lot here in the past few days.
What is the condition of Jharkhand?
It is extremely cold in Jharkhand at this time. In view of this, an order has come to close all the schools here from tomorrow i.e. from 26th December to 31st December 2023.
