Tejashwi Yadav rushes towards Bengal leaving Bihar, will join hands with Mamta Banerjee against BJP

RJD wants to join hands with TMC to defeat BJP in Bengal Legislative Assembly elections. Apart from this, RJD is eyeing the seats in Bengal where the Hindi speaking population lives.

Kolkata: Bihar’s main opposition party Rashtriya Janata Dal ( RJD ) is in talks with the ruling Trinamool Congress ( TMC ) to contest the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal ( West Bengal ) . Turn RJD chief General Abdul Siddique (Abdul Bari Siddiqui) and national general secretary Shyam Rajak (Shyam Rajak) Monday, Banerjee ( Mamta Banerjee will hold talks on an alliance with the party).




RJD preparing to contest elections with TMC

Siddiqui and Rajak are meeting with leaders of his party before discussing Banerjee in Kolkata . RJD spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari told over phone from Patna that the party is exploring the possibility of contesting some seats on the Bengal-Bihar border. However, he did not give the number of seats on which RJD is planning to contest. Vidhan Sabha elections may be held in April-May in West Bengal. Tiwari said Banerjee has friendly relations with RJD chief Lalu Prasad and the party wants to strengthen the hands of the Trinamool Congress president in the Bengal elections.

RJD is eyeing these Legislative Assembly seats

The spokesman said the RJD’s primary goal is to curb the influence of the communal BJP ( BJP ) in West Bengal and strengthen the secular forces under Mamata Banerjee’s leadership. The RJD is eyeing a few seats along the Bihar-West Bengal border, where a significant population of Hindi-speaking voters live. RJD had an MLA in West Bengal between 2006 and 2011 under the Left Front regime.
