Train Cancelled: Rail Passenger Big News! More than 100 trains canceled between Churchgate and Virar, check list

Western Railway has canceled more than 100 trains of different destinations between Churchgate and Virar on Friday.

DNA Hindi: Western Railway on Friday said it has canceled more than 100 up and down local trains at various destinations between Churchgate and Virar on Mumbai’s Western Suburban Railway. Railways said that these trains have been canceled as it is taking mega block on October 27 in connection with the construction of the sixth railway line between Khar and Goregaon railway stations.

Earlier, Western Railways had announced a 10-hour jumbo block on Harbor lines between Andheri and Goregaon stations. According to the order, Western Railway will operate special traffic block for non-interlocking work in connection with the construction of the sixth line between Khar Road and Goregaon stations.

Railways said that the 10-hour jumbo block will be in effect from 00.30 am to 10.30 am on Friday, October 27. The special traffic block will be on the Up and Down Harbor Line between Andheri and Goregaon stations. “Suburban services on the Harbor Line between Andheri and Goregaon will not be available during the block period,” Western Railways said.

Earlier, Western Railways had said that it has canceled more than 2,500 local train services in Mumbai from October 27 to November 5.

Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, said that despite the huge amount of work involved, the block has been carefully planned to ensure minimum disruption to rail traffic and inconvenience to passengers.
