Under this, the budget for the health sector has been increased. Also , special gift of PM Atmanirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana has also been given to the people.

Prime Minister Self-Reliant Healthy India Scheme

Nirmala Sitharaman said, ‘A new scheme of the Center will be launched the Prime Minister’s Self-Reliant Healthy India Scheme, about Rs 64180 crore will be spent on this scheme in 6 years.’ The Finance Minister said that it has increased 135 percent over the last year. This year, the health budget has been increased from Rs 94 thousand crore to Rs 223846 crore.




The Finance Minister announced that for the year 2021-22, the health sector will be allocated Rs 2.38 lakh crore.

Primary health centers will be strengthened

He told that in the budget, health services from primary level to higher level will be spent. There will also be a focus on new diseases and this will be different from the National Health Mission. Along with this, the Finance Minister said that the Primary Health Centers will be strengthened and the World Health Organization’s local mission will be launched in India.

35 thousand crores for Kovid vaccine
The Finance Minister said that for Kovid-19 vaccine, Rs 35 thousand crore has been kept for the year 2021-22 and if needed, more funds will be allocated.

75 thousand rural healthcare centers to be opened
The Finance Minister said that in the year 2021-22, 223846 crore will be spent on health and family welfare. With this, it has been announced in the budget that 75 thousand rural healthcare centers will be opened. Investigation centers in all districts, critical care hospitals will be opened in 602 districts and the National Center for Disease Control, Integrated Health Info Portal will be strengthened. With this, 17 new public health units will also be started. In the midst of the Corona crisis, four institutes of virology have also been announced.

The government has also announced the formation of the National Institution of World Health. With this, 9 bio labs will also be created.

Government will spend about 2 lakh 80 thousand crores on cleanliness
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced that the government’s focus will be on nutrition and the Water Life Mission (Urban) will be launched. Under this, work will be done on sanitization in 500 Amrit cities and the government will spend about 2 lakh 80 thousand crore rupees on cleanliness. At the same time, one lakh 41 thousand crore rupees will be spent on Urban Clean India Mission 2.0 in the next 5 years. The Finance Minister announced the Water Life Mission for 4,378 urban local bodies with an expenditure of Rs 2.87 lakh crore.
