UP Panchayat Elections 2021: 52 lakh voters increase in UP, State Election Commission released voter list

UP Panchayat Elections 2021: Changes in 2.10 crore names in the voter list of Panchayat elections. More than 45 percent of the voters are under 35 years of age. The highest voter in Dasna Panchayat of Ghaziabad. After delimitation in Lucknow, gram panchayats have reduced.





Lucknow. About the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat election, the State Election Commission released the final Voter List of 71 districts on Friday evening. This time 12.50 crore voters will use their franchise. Nearly 52 lakh voters have increased as compared to 2015. Last time there were 11.76 crore voters. Additional Election Commissioner Vedprakash Verma said that a total of 2.10 crore names have been changed in the voter list. 39.36 lakh names have been revised. Names of 1.09 crore voters have been removed. The number of women voters is 5.76 crores. More than 45 percent of the voters in the voter list are 35 years old or less. The Dasna Gram Panchayat of Ghaziabad has the highest number of 38,077 voters.

In contrast, 62,489 voters have increased in the final voter list released for the three-tier panchayat elections. The district administration is preparing to conduct three-stage elections in panchayats. A list of polling stations and booths in panchayats is being prepared. 626 polling stations and 1748 polling places have been set up for panchayat elections. According to the voter list prepared so far, about 42.43 percent (5.58 crore) of the total voters are youth below 35 years. While 42.83 percent of people between 36 and 60 years, there are 11.73 percent voters above the age of 60 years. According to sources, in this regard, the commission can issue a notification for running a special revision campaign in a day or two. Special revision of voter list may take up to 45 days.
