UP Scholarship 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Department has opened applications for the UP Scholarship Scheme 2026-27. Eligible students studying in grades 9th through 12th can apply for scholarships starting today, August 11, 2026. This scholarship scheme is open to students from General, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), and minority communities. When can you apply?
Registration and document submission for renewal students in grades 9 to 12 who are already receiving scholarships is open from August 11 to 25, 2026.
Fresh applicants, including those newly admitted to grades 9 and 11, can apply online from August 11 to September 21, 2026.
How to be selected for the scholarship
After submitting the application, verification will be done at the school level. This will be followed by an audit by officials at the district level. The National Informatics Center (NIC) will then check for any errors in the data. Once all steps are completed and the application is accepted, the scholarship amount will be transferred directly to the student’s Aadhaar-linked bank account.
When will the scholarship be available?
According to the department, renewal students in grades 9 to 12 are expected to receive their scholarship amount between October 25 and 31, 2026, while fresh applicants are expected to receive their scholarship amount between January 25 and 31, 2027.
Post-Matric Scholarship
Students pursuing graduation, post-graduation, diploma, ITI, or other courses after completing grade 12 will be able to apply under the Post-Matric Scholarship.
Students are advised to apply only on the official portal and submit the required documents to their institution on time after completing the online process.
