UPTET 2020 – 2021: Those who DELEd from NIOS in UPTET will not get a chance

UPTET: Candidates who have DLed from National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) in Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2020 proposed in March will not get a chance.

The proposal sent by the Examination Regulatory Authority to the government has not included those who have dealt with the NIOS from DLAD. The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has recognized candidates for this course in teacher recruitment. But this course is not valid in UP-TET. The minimum two-year teacher training course for UP-TET is eligibility. While NIOS’s DLED is an 18-month correspondence course.

At the same time, the candidates who have DLed argue that they are already teaching in schools. He has been given an 18-month course for not teaching in the school for 6 months. If someone was already teaching in a private school and has got D.L.D. from NIOS, then cannot one become a teacher in a government school. It is unfair to exclude these candidates from TET. In UP, about 1.50 lakh candidates have DL’d from NIOS.

Jolt in TET

– Examinations regulatory authority did not include in TET proposal

– Due to 18 months course, DLED is not valid

– TET gives opportunity to those doing minimum two years course

– Nearly one and half lakhs done in UP Is D.Ed. from NIOS

Pankaj Yadav (D.El.D. Trained Candidate from NIOS) said, “We have requested the government and examination body to include NIOS for D.E.L.D. If our demand is not met, then there will be no option but court.
