Withdrawal charges from ATM: If the transaction fails due to low bank balance, then India Post will charge a hefty fee from October 1

There is important news for the customers of India Post. From October 1, India Post is going to levy new charges on the use of its ATM. That is, customers will have to loose more pockets on ATM / Debit Card use. India Post has shared the details of these charges. In this, charges ranging from Rs 10 to Rs 300 have been levied on different transactions. The big disadvantage is that if the balance in the customer’s account is less and he tries to withdraw more cash from the ATM, then he will also have to pay a charge.




According to Puneet Bijrania, ADG (FS-II) in the Department of Post, some charges are being added on India Post ATM usage from October 1. In these, Rs 300 + GST ​​will now be charged as Debit Card Replacement Charge. On the other hand, duplicate PIN or re-generating it will attract Rs 50 + GST.

According to Puneet Bijrania, it is important for the customer to keep in mind that if the balance in the account is less and he tries to withdraw more amount at the ATM, then he will be charged in return. He will have to pay Rs 20 + GST.

Withdrawal charges from ATM

In metro cities, a customer can do only 3 free transactions from any other bank’s ATM. At the same time, there will be a chance of free withdrawal 5 times in non metro cities. After this, Rs 20 + GST ​​will have to be paid on the transaction. If you make a withdrawal from India Post ATM after 5 free transactions, then you will have to pay Rs 10 + GST.




Other work from ATM

In metro cities, if the customer does non-financial transaction, ie balance checking or other work from other bank’s ATM, only 3 times will be free. Whereas in non-metro cities this number will be 5. After this 8 rupees + GST ​​will have to be paid. If the customer does the same thing from an India Post ATM, then after 5 free transactions, Rs 5 + GST ​​will be charged from him.

ATM Cum Debit Card Fees

According to Puneet Bijrania, Rs 125 + GST ​​will be charged from the customer as annual maintenance fee of ATM / Debit Card. This charge is from 1 October 2021 to 30 September 2022. The charge will be deducted at the end of the year.




SMS Alert will also be charged

India Post has also charged Rs 12 for alerting the customer through SMS. This charge will also be from 1 October 2021 to 30 September 2022. That is, the charge for 1 year is Rs 12.
