DA may increase to 46 percent

On what basis does dearness allowance increase?
The dearness allowance is increased by the central government keeping in view the rate of inflation. The dearness allowance is increased from the central government as well as from the state government. The higher the inflation, the higher the DA. The Labor Bureau calculates dearness allowance and dearness relief for employees and pensioners. It is calculated on the basis of Consumer Price Index (CPI-IW).
How much money will increase
If the basic salary of an employee is currently Rs 18000 then he gets dearness allowance of Rs 7560 i.e. 42%. But if the dearness allowance increases to 46 percent, the dearness allowance will increase to Rs 8280 per month. In this way, the salary will increase by 720 rupees per month.
