Team India has got a new jersey sponsor amid Asia Cup 2025. After the departure of Dream 11, Apollo Tyres has now been appointed as the new jersey sponsor of Team India. This company will remain the jersey sponsor of Team India till 2027. Apollo Tyres will give Rs 579 crore to BCCI for three years. Actually, some time ago the Government of India had banned betting related apps. After that BCCI ended its deal with Dream 11 and since then the board was looking for a new sponsor.

Apollo Tyres will give Rs 4.5 crore for every match

Apollo Tyres will give Rs 4.5 crore to BCCI for every match. Earlier Dream 11 used to give Rs 4 crore to BCCI. Let us tell you that the Indian team is playing in Asia Cup 2025 without any sponsor. At the same time, the Indian women’s team is also playing without any sponsor in the three-match ODI series against Australia. However, it is not yet clear whether the women’s team will write the name of the new sponsor on their jersey for the upcoming Women’s World Cup.

BCCI had issued new rules on 2 September

Let us tell you that on September 2, BCCI had issued rules for bidding for jersey sponsor. According to this rule, gaming, betting, crypto and tobacco companies could not bid. Apart from this, the names of some other companies were also included in this list.

Earlier Dream11 was the sponsor of BCCI

Dream11 had made a huge deal of Rs 358 crore with BCCI in July 2023. Under this, Dream11 acquired sponsor rights for the kits of Indian women’s team, Indian men’s team, India Under-19 team and India-A team. Then Dream11 replaced Byju’s. Despite breaking the contract, Dream11 will not pay any kind of penalty to BCCI. It is clearly written in the contract that if the new law of the Government of India affects the main business of the company, then the company will not pay any penalty to the board. The brand value of Dream11 is around $ 8 billion today. Dream11 also made a big investment in the Indian Premier League (IPL). In the year 2020, Dream11 also sponsored the IPL trophy.
