China Online Visa Application System: Following a strain in relations between India and China nearly five years ago, both countries are now striving to move forward, leaving behind past bitterness. Following the resumption of tourist visas for Chinese citizens, the Chinese Embassy in India has made another significant announcement. Chinese Ambassador to India, Xu Feihong, announced on Monday that the Chinese Embassy in India is launching an online visa system this month.

China Online Visa Application

This online visa application system will be officially launched on December 22nd, just before the New Year. Posting on the social media platform X, the ambassador stated that applicants will need to fill out an online form and upload the required documents. The designated website is: visaforchina.cn/DEL3_EN/qianzh.

The announcement also shared the address and contact information for the Chinese Visa Application Service Center, New Delhi. The center’s working hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and the contact number is 91-9999036735. Its address is: Concourse Floor, Shivaji Stadium Metro Station, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, Connaught Place, New Delhi-110001.

It is worth noting that tourist visas for Chinese citizens were suspended following a violent clash between soldiers of the two countries in the Galwan Valley in June 2020. This incident brought relations between India and China to a new low.

However, through several rounds of diplomatic talks and commander-level meetings, both countries took steps to de-escalate tensions. Continued dialogue and agreements have gradually normalized the situation, and the two neighboring countries are now moving forward to strengthen their mutual relations.
