IMD Rainfall Alert, Monsoon Arrived, Weather Update: The Meteorological Department has said that monsoon has arrived in Kerala on June 8. The normal date of onset of monsoon over Kerala was June 1. There is a delay of one week.

IMD Rainfall Alert: Scorching heat may be prevailing in many parts of the country including North India, but monsoon rains have started in the south. While giving good news on Thursday, the Meteorological Department has said that monsoon has arrived in Kerala. It is worth mentioning that in the forecast released on the previous day, it was said that there may be a knock of monsoon in Kerala in the next few hours.

The Meteorological Department has told that the monsoon has arrived in Kerala on June 8. The normal date of onset of monsoon over Kerala was June 1. Monsoon has arrived with a delay of a week. In the next 48 hours, it will move towards Arabian Sea, South India, Bay of Bengal and Northeast India states. However, heatwave conditions are going to prevail over Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for the next two to four days.

There is an alert of heavy rain in the states of South India for the next five days. The Meteorological Department has said that light to moderate rains are going to occur over Kerala, Lakshadweep, Coastal and South Interior Karnataka, North Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh for the next five days. Heavy to very heavy rain would occur over Kerala on June 8, Andaman and Nicobar on June 8-10, Lakshadweep on June 9-11 and Coastal and South Interior Karnataka on June 10-12. Talking about the states of Northeast, it will rain in many places for the next five days. There is a possibility of very heavy rains in Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura on June 9, Assam and Meghalaya on June 12. However, there is no sign of any major change in the weather for the next five days in other parts of the country.

How was the weather last day?

Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, East India, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana recorded maximum temperatures in the range of 40-42 degrees Celsius on the previous day. The maximum temperature in Northeast India, Bihar and West Bengal was three to five degrees above average. Severe heatwave was observed in Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal on the previous day. Apart from this, heatwave was also recorded in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana.

During the next three days, an increase of two degrees in the maximum temperature can be recorded in the states of North West India except Rajasthan. After that, there will not be much change in the temperature. The Meteorological Department has told that heatwave conditions will be seen in West Uttar Pradesh from June 9-11, East Uttar Pradesh from June 8-11, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal from June 8-11, Sikkim, Odisha from June 8-10 .
