History of Kanyakumari Beach 

The history of Kanyakumari beach is very ancient. On the banks of the Kanyakumari of Hindu scriptures, the goddess did penance to get Shiva in the form of a bride in the form of a bride. It is believed that the things that Devi had collected for her wedding later spread as colorful sand here. This place has been used for tourism and sea traffic since the British rule. Gandhiji visited Kanyakumari twice and a holy memorial has also been built in his memory.
