Weight loss is a huge task that requires dedication and stability. Every day small progress needs to be made to reach the goal of weight loss. But sometimes only small things can bring a big change such as a change in sleep or in the time of exercise.
Answer your questions –
When it comes to exercising for weight loss, it is generally believed that your effort and regularity matter more than anything else. And time plays an important role in losing weight. However, this may not be completely true. According to some researchers, exercising in the evening can help you lose weight faster than exercising in the morning.
According to scientists –
Two studies were known to assess the relation between body-wise and physical activity, they concluded that exercise in the evening may be more productive than exercise in the morning. Both studies were mainly performed on mice. The major challenge for the scientists was to change the physical activity of the mice into human activities because the rats are nocturnal i.e. they are active at night. Later, scientists conducted the same test on 12 humans and the result was similar.
Therefore, the evening time is rightly said –
It is said that oxygen consumption is reduced in the evening, which improves your performance and you eventually lose weight faster. In the study, it was also found that a protein known as HIF-1a, which has an important role in weight loss, is activated by exercise in various ways depending on the time of day. Rather, according to the American Council on Exercise, performance is improved in the evening due to flexed and warm muscles. Also, the rate of exhaustion is low, strength is also good and heart rate and blood pressure are kept under control.
When should you exercise –
There is, of course, evidence that supports the claim that exercise in the evening is better than exercise in the morning for weight loss, but research is very limited. More research is needed to come to a strong conclusion on this matter.
Whether you listen to evening time or choose morning time to exercise, try that you have to keep doing the workouts continuously. If you are exercising in the evening, then you need to keep a few things in mind –
Exercise 4-5 hours before going to bed, otherwise it will be difficult for you to sleep at night.
Eat something before exercising, because exercise requires energy.
For better results, add various workouts like strength training, bodyweight exercise and cardio.
Remember that just exercising will not help you reach your goal. A healthy and nutritious diet is equally important.
