A cabinet meeting was held on Tuesday at Lok Bhavan in Lucknow, chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In this meeting, 13 important proposals from various departments, including Stamps and Registration, Industries, and Transport, were approved. Furthermore, after residential and agricultural land, the government has now extended the gift of gift deeds to industrial and commercial properties. In a press conference, Minister Ravindra Jaiswal stated that, on the same lines as residential and agricultural land, industrial and commercial properties can now be registered in the name of loved ones with a stamp fee of ₹5,000. He added that, starting in 2022, property transfers were made with a stamp fee of ₹5,000. This arrangement was in place for residential and agricultural properties. Now, it has been implemented on commercial land as well. Previously, a 7% fee was charged in urban areas and 5% in rural areas. He added that proposals regarding land for registry offices in Kushinagar and Jhansi have also been approved.

Yogendra Upadhyaya explained that JS University Shikohabad College was established in 2011. Vice-Chancellor Sukesh Yadav and Registrar Vandan Mishra were arrested because fake marksheets were issued by the university. Subsequently, when the Under Secretary of the Higher Education Council went to investigate, he was not provided with the required cooperation. The District Magistrate was asked to investigate under Section 55(3). The EOW conducted the investigation. After all the investigations, the recognition was revoked and the liquidation was terminated. This was a private university. Fake marksheets were found in Rajasthan. An agricultural course was being offered without accreditation. Meerut IIM-T University had proposed opening an off-campus university. Now, the operating authorization has been granted. The university is located in Meerut, and its off-campus will be in Noida.

Semiconductor Policy Approved

The Department of Industry has prepared guidelines for the Global Capability Center (GCC). Its rules have also been approved by the Cabinet. Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna stated that the semiconductor policy was introduced in January 2024. Units investing ₹3,000 crore will receive case-by-case subsidies. The cabinet has approved this, and various concessions will be provided.

A bus stand will be built in Pilibhit in two years.

The cabinet has also approved a proposal to allocate land for the construction of a bus station in Pilibhit. 7,000 square meters of land has been allocated for the construction of a bus stand on the connecting road in Pilibhit, one kilometer from the headquarters. The lease is for 30 years, extendable twice for 30 years each. The bus stand will be built in two years.

A 500-bed super-specialty hospital in Varanasi

A 500-bed super-specialty hospital will be built by demolishing 11 buildings of the medical section of the Varanasi divisional hospital. It will be completed within four years. Additionally, Varanasi has allocated 50 acres of land for the National Forensic Science University.

108 Type 1 residences will be constructed in the PAC 37 Battalion.

Suresh Khanna stated that nine regional sports officer positions were vacant. Two-thirds of these positions will be filled through promotion, while one-third will be filled by international medalists. There are a total of 18 positions. Previously, the split was the same. Additionally, unused buildings in the PAC 37 Battalion, Kanpur, will be demolished. 108 Type 1 residences will be constructed on this land. Cabinet approval has been received.
