Wash and sun-dry notes with sanitizing

The RBI report states that in the Corona era people fear that the currency may also be ‘infected’. Because of this, people started sanitizing the note. Not only this, people washed the notes in the beginning. Apart from this, dried in the sun for hours. Sanitizers are also being used on the pits in banks, the result of which is that the old currency, the new currency has also deteriorated a lot during the year.

The RBI has said in its report that for the first time such a large number of notes ranging from 10 rupees to 2 thousand rupees have been damaged. Last year, 6 lakh notes of two thousand came. This number has exceeded 17 crores this time. Apart from this, the new currency of 500 has also deteriorated ten times and the 200 note has been destroyed more than 300 times compared to the previous year.
