Sanitizing people’s notes is a disaster for RBI!

After using every small thing, people are using sanitizer on it. Many people are also using sanitizer on notes due to fear of corona infection. A large number of notes have been damaged due to sanitizing, washing and sun drying.

Most two thousand notes were spoiled
This is the reason that all the records so far have been broken in the number of bad notes reaching the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). The 2 thousand rupee notes were the worst. 17 crore rupees notes of 2 thousand came to the RBI this time, which have been damaged. These numbers are 300 times more than last year.

At the same time, 200 notes and then 500 rupee notes were the worst. If seen compared to last year, then the number of currency notes has increased significantly.

Wash and sun-dry notes with sanitizing

The RBI report states that in the Corona era people fear that the currency may also be ‘infected’. Because of this, people started sanitizing the note. Not only this, people washed the notes in the beginning. Apart from this, dried in the sun for hours. Sanitizers are also being used on the pits in banks, the result of which is that the old currency, the new currency has also deteriorated a lot during the year.

The RBI has said in its report that for the first time such a large number of notes ranging from 10 rupees to 2 thousand rupees have been damaged. Last year, 6 lakh notes of two thousand came. This number has exceeded 17 crores this time. Apart from this, the new currency of 500 has also deteriorated ten times and the 200 note has been destroyed more than 300 times compared to the previous year. A new currency of 20 rupees became more than twenty times worthless in a year.
